The blue of the chairs begs for the gray sky to change. It is like the world has been inverted and the beautiful blue has been captured by the Earth, simply drained from the sky.

Thanks Charles for these wonderful words about my little picture. I’m seeing it in a new light now , ( pardon the unintentional pun)
Thanks Georgie. It’s outside the coffee shop at Swarthmoor Hall, Cumbria. Elizabethan Manor House , HQ of Quakers. I was at a Zen retreat there a couple of weekends ago. Ommmmm…..
I hope you get through the technical difficulties soon (enough to undo any amount of ommmmmm). Looking forward to hearing about your travels and more pictures.
The blue chairs look like you did some kind of fancy filtering to only allow that colour. Beautiful rock wall and sky!

Thanks Leah. Sheila and I just back from a great trip to Malta ( 1400-plus pictures on memory cards) . I just couldn’t stop clicking that shutter.
The picture of blue chairs looked more or less like this, just added structure to make sky and wall look more “dramatic” . I love playing around with images.
