A weekly series where I revisit old photographs:

Ashness Bridge is perhaps the most photographed packhorse bridge in the Lake District due to its location and stunning views. This extremely popular viewpoint looks out over Derwent Water with spectacular views over Bassenthwaite Lake and the River Derwent. (National Trust Website) .

Oh it’s so beautiful. It looks like a scene from Ireland, a bit like Killarney in Kerry. I’ve never been to the lake district. On my bucket list.

Thank you Jean. And Ive never been to Ireland! if you are ever planning a trip to the Lake District, then do avoid school holidays, public holidays, and weekends! Unless its traffic jams you’re after. We are lucky in that its just over an hours drive away .

Thanks Georgie. It’s unusual to be able to photograph it free of people posing to be photographed on it!
