Village life is never dull!
Last week I was asked to video and photograph the Blessing of Daisy the Baby Donkey, which was scheduled to take place straight after Sunday morning service. Daisy is little sister to one-year-old Boris the Donkey.
It was a tough job, but someone had to do it!
Father Brian, our vicar, has conducted many blessings in his time, but blessing a two-day old donkey was something of a first for him.
Before the “ceremony” could start, little Daisy had first to be caught:

The donkeys are a great attraction in our village for young and old alike.
There are strict rules about feeding them:
I visited Daisy this morning. She is not yet two weeks old but already has a great number of admirers.
She is also starting to “grow into” her legs!
I don’t expect she’ll ever grow into her ears though.
She is a donkey after all!

Daisy certainly did. Her mum was watchful, her brother Boris tried to muscle in, whilst the other two feigned indifference.
