Saturday Afternoon in Lytham

Took advantage of a window of sunshine today. Blue sky, what a treat! And no rain! But with the ground underfoot still  wet, a country walk wasn’t too good an idea so what better than a stroll  along the prom, prom, prom in the town described on its welcome sign as ” A Lancashire Coastal Gem”, i.e. Lytham.

The first stop was Lowther Gardens where an Antiques and Collectors fair was in full swing. One of the traders had a lot of collectibles from Russia and was waxing lyrically about her visits to St Petersburg in the 1960’s.

Another trader was scrupulously examining rings and things.

The tide was well out so the cocklers’ boats were  within reach of aspiring photographers:

Walked back via the town centre and DIDN’T BUY ANYTHING……a frugal first !
