That is amazing; I’ve never seen such colors on a butterfly!

Thanks Dinata. We have 57 species of butterflies in UK, and quite a few are as brightly coloured as this. I’m hoping summer of 2016 will be a good year for them.

Wow! Now that’s a future that’s bright. Great shots, Helen.

Thank you so much. I certainly enjoy taking them. Soon be butterfly season too. Yippee.

Wow! So gorgeous. And to think, all they have to do is just be. No effort required to achieve their full potential (other than avoiding birds, I suppose!). Thanks for the spring colour.

Many thanks for your appreciation. These clusters have hundreds of caterpillars so I reckon the survival rate isn’t too high. But as you say good for birds. Natures not daft!

Wow!

Thank you! Photographing butterflies is something I spend a lot of time doing (or I should say looking for them with camera in hand) It’ll soon be the season to do this again. Exciting!

Love those fluttering beauties. I am sad to report that last summer, we had very few butterflies in our yard. In the past, we’ve always had them, so it worries me.

Oh dear, that doesn’t sound good.

I didn’t even know there was such a thing as Peacock Butterfly! Thank you for educating me on this amazing creation.

    HMB · 9 April 2016 at 15:46

Thanks for your interest. We have 56 species of butterflies in UK and this is one of the most stunning and also frequently seen.

      AngelAmbroseArt · 10 April 2016 at 04:48

I am glad you’re capturing them in paragraph form and sharing them with me across the pond. Thank you!
