MONDAY MACROS: A new series starts today.

I’m out such a lot in the summer months with my DSLR and macro lens that I’m sure I can post once a week with some close-ups of our natural world.

Well, that’s the plan; the intention; the sincerely well-meant resolution; the pious hope…..

……that every Monday I can post at least one recently taken macro. If the weather keeps us indoors, then I’ll take a picture of something in the house – even if it’s only a close-up of a cat’s whisker!

These macros are from a visit last week to BROCKHOLES a local nature reserve.

Oh, my goodness! Superb shots , Helen, Dragonfly is gorgeous. We’ll have to wait six months here to see dragonflies once more!

We seem to have a surplus of snails and dragonflies this year. Thanks for the wonderful closeup view of them!

Dragonflies aren’t in abundance here. We have to go out searching for them . This makes getting a good picture all the more rewarding. Whereas snails…. well they just sit there for as long as you need them .

What a stunning macro series, Helen! Glad I didn’t post my macros today or yesterday. 🙂 🙂
The brockholes is so nicely framed by these two leave, clever. The dragonfly is a stunning capture. I’m in awe…

Oh, my gosh! Splendid! I love up close and personal with critters and flowers. Certainly gives one a different perspective.

Thanks Laurie. I find it very relaxing watching them . They are certainly busier than I am. I love looking at the details on screen too when I get home.

Love ’em all, but my favorite has to be the close-up of the Common Darter Dragonfly. Great shot!
