I think yesterday was definitely our last day of summer, and what a glorious one it was. There was not a cloud in the sky and the mercury was a comfortable 23 degrees Centigrade.
Today, the temperature has dropped by almost 10 degrees and and rain has battered down all day.
So…… farewell to summer and to all the beautiful butterflies you brought to our garden.
Here is a gallery of a few of the last ones to visit us.

Cool! I love butterflies too… so much so that quite a few of my Monday Macro’s posts have been dedicated to butterflies! And… I’m sure a few more will be too!! 😉

So much that guess where I had been just before opening up WP and seeing your post? At a butterfly house photographing butterflies.

I do, and will certainly miss them. I was out one day early last week hoping to capture a mass of them migrating. I saw it once before and its a sight I will never forget.

How wonderful. They touch our souls.
mycreatorscreation · 23 September 2019 at 18:44
They do. And so much we can learn from them.
HMB · 23 September 2019 at 18:46
Indeed yes. When I feel I can see the whole of creation in a butterfly’s eye/leg/wing/tongue!
