Damselflies are often described as “Flying Needles”, and not very big needles either! In fact they are about the size of the smallest needle you get in a pack.
I look forward to photographing them every year. Recently I was lucky enough to sit for ages watching this Common Blue flitting around and repeatedly landing on a lone pink flower.
It was a perfect summer afternoon.
