“Macro Photography” is a phrase which immediately takes me back to summer days spent eyeballing butterflies, dragonflies and anything else I can find. What I love about this kind of photography is that it allows me to see into a macro-world too small for for human eyesight to enjoy.
My favourite Photography quote is from the American photographer, Berenice Abbott (1898- 1991), who stated simply:
Photography helps people to see
In this gallery of images taken with my macro lens I’ve included couple of shots of “bigger things’ as the 100mm works well for any kind of close up, I think.

IT LOOKS LIKE EVERYONE THAT COMMENTED TOOK THE WORDS RIGHT OUT OF MY MOUTH! MY GOAL STILL IS TO HAVE A 100mm LENS. I TOOK SOME PICTURES THIS SUMMER, THE CAMERA DID NOT FEEL AS HEAVY BY THEN, EVEN BETTER NOW! I CAN HARDLY WAIT TO GET OUT AND DO MORE, YOU ARE MY INSPIRATION, HELEN! 🙂

Thank you. Your challenges keep me on my toes. I “redid” some of these by running them through LUMINAR noise reduction .
