Red Doors in St George’s Castle.

Castelo de São Jorge (Saint George’s Castle) is a Moorish castle occupying a commanding hilltop overlooking the historic centre of the Portuguese city of Lisbon and Tagus River. The strongly fortified citadel dates from medieval period of Portuguese history. –wiki.
What Wikipedia doesn’t tell us is that this medieval castle, which dates from the 11th Century, has some wonderful red doors.

Your photos brought some lovely memories to mind of time spent with my mother and sisters in Lisbon. We rented an apartment in the old part of the city, near the castle. I have to check my spam folder regularly as I’ve found a few comments there that shouldn’t be.
