In response to WordPress Photo Challenge: Spare  &  Cee’s OddBall Challenge:

Last week we visited the Yorkshire town of Hebden Bridge where I saw this chair on the pavement outside a shop in the main street. It was obviously surplus to requirements as seating.

If we’re back there in a couple of weeks the plants might have flowered.

what a creative use for an old chair that lost its original function!

    Thanks, yes it is.

Looks like my kind of place. You’ve made me curious to your other pics.

You’d love the place. Everywhere you look there’s something quirky. It was an old mill town then came an influx of Bohemian-type artists, writers etc. Not sure the original locals are so delighted as property prices have sky-rocketed. Very serious flooding there also in winter. Some businesses still not opened up again. Must blog about this. And soon.
    Thanks for your encouragement.

Another flooded place… so sad for the inhabitants/users as they put their energy and soul in it and look what happened. I’d love to read more about this place.

I’ve just posted about the village of Haworth yet another villages ravaged by the 26th Dec floods. It seems to be my theme this week, though not intentionally.

Thanks Charles. I’ve a few more oddball pics from Hebden Brudge. It’s that kind of place.
