Which way? The Footpath or the Bridleway?

We enjoyed another couple of days in  the Borrowdale Valley in the Lake District this week.

I took these pictures on the walk from Seathwaite to Styhead Ghyll. There is a sign in Seathwaite proclaiming it to be the wettest place in England….but hey….there was no rain that day and the sun came out later.

What a stunningly beautiful valley Helen. I really like the moss on the sign post & that stone bridge is delightful. My wife went to England with her Dad to visit family some years ago. In the 5 weeks they were there they only had 3 days without rain. And that was during Summer.

3 days without rain sounds just about right (some summers anyway) . It’s a shame when its like that for visitors to our shores.
Thanks for your encouraging comments, Tony.
