We took a quick trip over the Pennines to Yorkshire recently. We had an overnight at Holdsworth House, a Jacobean mansion house which was built in 1633 and is now a hotel.

The house has featured in various television programmes, most notably “Last Tango in Halifax”. In fact it will be closed to the public for 6 weeks later in the year for the filming of the next series. Jamie Oliver made programme here too. It’s also very much in demand for weddings.

I came back with a lot of shots of both the exterior and interior of Holdsworth and some will no doubt appear in future posts.

For now, here’s a quick look at the gardens.

What a beautiful place to stay. Glad you got your visit in before it was shut down for filming.
