Barcelona does indeed have some very big doors…..
……..but none so grand, in my opinion, as this one at Sagrada Familia Cathedral.
And what about that handle (if that’s what it is) at the top left corner?
Even when I pulled myself up to my full five feet five and three quarter inches, I still couldn’t quite reach it to let myself in.

Like every other square inch of this wonderful building, both inside and outside, the detail is stunning:

And this wasn’t even the main entrance! That was bigger.

It’s well worth a visit. Have a good weekend. Weather looks dire though.

The blue color of this massive door is stunning. Love the artistic carvings in the door as well.

Hi Donna. I was quite in awe of so much of the architecture in Barcelona.
Thanks for stopping by.

Yep! They certainly are BIG doors. I wouldn’t like to have my hand caught in them, should they slam shut. 😮
HMB · 16 March 2017 at 15:52
Ooooh! I’ll need to be careful if I try to sneak in!
Thanks for stopping by, Jean.

Haha, now this is one peculiar and vast door. And great to see you! (Did you remove the like button on purpose?)

Jetpack had disconnected! Good job I have nothing better to do on this cold day.

Not just a big door, but a big door with beautiful details. I like the way it’s divided into four sections and that top left one looks as if you could (if tall and strong enough), grab the knob and slide that section over to the right. 🙂

Thanks for stopping by, Janet. I’m revisiting Barcelona later this year, I’ll have another look at this door!
